Rapid Prototyping
ModelWorks Design is our in house design center which produces not just aviation, maritime or automotive models – but any product prototyping or design.
Working in 3D programs such as AutoCAD or Solidworks our design team takes a brief and creates products from scratch, or will work with existing designs to create 3D prototypes.
The process of creating these is called Stereo Lithography and we have in house two of these machines, one which builds ultra fine small prototypes in a wax deposition process and anther which uses plastic deposition to create the prototypes.
Once made our master modelers finish the samples and paint them if required.
What you are presented with is an extremely accurate prototype which can be approved or modified until such time as the product is ready for production.
Unlike other design centers we do not make manufacturing the products a contingency of our design center. Use us for as much or as little of the process as you wish. We even provide simply machine time for companies who do their own design and simply wish to print their prototypes.
This service is unique and provides our clients with the opportunity to rapidly bring products to market and test design concepts.
